Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Chief, Is Concerned About Countries That Are Yet To Get Vaccinated

United States: On Thursday, 1st July 2021, the WHO chief expresses his concern towards the countries that have failed to get vaccinated and asks them to get vaccinated as soon as possible. He also said that it’d be better if 10% of every country’s population gets vaccinated by September, as it helps prevent the pandemic and recover the global economy. Recently, the UN-backed COVAX is distributed to nearly 81 million doses worldwide, but mainly to the wealthier nations as they had pre-blocked the vaccines. Lastly, he says that getting vaccinated is necessary as there is an emergence of new variants, and the world needs to get ready to prevent another global pandemic.
